A mysterious virus drove the population of Erlsen Island crazy. The authorities have isolated the region from the outside world and sealed «the incident». As a detective Howard Chapman, you secretly arrive on the island to look into the cause of the accident. There is no way back. All that remains is to survive and investigate.
Features in "Outbreak Island"
Camera is your main ally. Distract the infected using a flash. Keep track of the situation from a distance to observe the behaviour of local inhabitants. Shoot everything suspicious to obtain evidence and investigate the accident.
Craft weapons and improve your equipment. Find and extract food and medicine.
Move around stealthily or fight face-to-face.
Survive under the burning sun or in the pouring rain, on a clear day or at a foggy night.
Study evidence to learn the causes of the outbreak and find the culprit.
Try not to get infected with a deadly virus and go insane.
So for those of you who have been following my channel, you'll know that I constantly stumble upon crazy projects made by a wide variety of strange developers. Usually the reason I find many of these projects is because of my own development work, which leads me to find their work-in-progress posts on forums or other niche places far from the public eye. This project "ILL" is one of my favorite finds.
The concept for the project is being developed by the Russian VFX artist "Oleg Vdovenko" who has a reputation for creating terrifying and sometimes absurd VFX renders. Everything from grotesque mutated spiders, to strange chicken-men.
Right now you can learn more about the project by checking out the Patreon for "CLOUT Games" which is the studio that has been created to development this project. Not much information has been released so far, other than the fact that Oleg is looking for more developers for his project. I'll be updating this blog with more information as they continue releasing more.
